Charting
TradingView
The go-to online charts. Several prop firms let you place orders from it directly.
What it is
TradingView is the online charting site most traders already know. It runs in the browser, on desktop and on phones, and covers forex, futures, stocks and crypto on the same screen.
For prop traders it matters because several futures firms connect their accounts to it, so you can place orders straight from the chart. Its Pine Script language lets you write your own indicators and alerts.
Key features
- Charts with hundreds of built-in indicators
- Pine Script for custom indicators and strategies
- Server-side alerts by app, email or webhook
- Screeners for stocks, forex and crypto
- Trading from the chart with connected brokers
- Bar replay to practise on past data
Who it suits
Anyone who wants clean charts everywhere, and futures traders whose firm trades through TradingView.
Before you buy
The free plan limits indicators per chart and alerts; real-time futures data is an extra fee.
